The Dress

Wow everyone on your wedding day, with this truly unique Wendy Makin dress. I absolutely loved my dress and keep getting compliments even 4 months after our wedding. I hope it will bring the same joy to another bride.

The Katelyn features a beautiful and flattering sweetheart neckline, a fully boned bodice that is rouched to show off the waist and an amazing ballgown skirt. The dress is classic, elegant, and lots of fun to wear - perfect for a non-traditional bride or someone who simply wants to stand out in a sea of white.

The dress has a zip up the back that is covered by beaded pearl buttons, a small train, pockets and it can easily be bustled up for photos and dancing. It’s light, comfortable and sturdy. There was no need to pull it up or adjust it throughout the night.

Made from 100% ivory silk with a gorgeous floral pattern and embroidery that features blush pink, fuchsia, soft coral, muted grey and some purple. My bridesmaids wore white and my husband wore red which looked amazing with the dress.

It’s versatile too. It worked perfectly for my beach wedding, but would also suit are more formal/black tie event or a garden style wedding.

The dress would comfortably fit a size 12 or a small size 14. With a few alterations it could also fit a size 10. I’m 5’6/170cm tall and wore the dress with 10cm heels. For those that need it, I’m happy to include my amazing, floor length veil, with a blusher and/or my small crystal hair comb that I didn't end up using on the day.
