The Dress

This dress was my dream dress! I really wanted a coloured underlay to make the lace detail stand out and this does it perfectly without creating too much colour. You can see in some photos that it looks like my dress is white/ivory. It's only the stock photos that make it look more pink than it really is.
Worn just once on my wedding day, it was wet in the morning so the train got a bit dirty. I've had it dry cleaned and it's pretty much perfect. Whatever small marks left are not noticeable at all once on.
I didn't take any length off this dress. I'm 5"10 and wore 2" heels and it was just right. I had the bust taken in slightly on either side (approx 2cm) was but no other alterations regarding fit. The bodice is boned and although I didn't get cups sewn in, the fit was so good I didn't need to wear a bra on the day either.
I had the ribbon belt cut and sewn onto the dress as a waist band as the long tie belt covered up the buttons at the back. It would be very easy to remove. I also had the spaghetti straps sewn in but again, would be easy to remove to have a strapless dress. This is a stunning dress that I loved wearing and received so many compliments on the day!
