As a young girl, I had not given much thought to my wedding day, much less the type of dress I would wear. When I went to try on dresses, I thought I had a clear idea that I wanted something simple; no fuss, no frills. I had tried on 9 dresses, and nearly settled on one, when my consultant asked me to humor her and try on one more. I didn't even get this dress halfway up my body before it took my breath away. I always thought the idea of crying over a dress silly, but I found myself doing just that as I stood looking in the mirror. I felt so beautiful, and that was just in the boutique! On the big day, it was a stunner. People were in awe and I felt like complete royalty. Our smaller guests, including our daughter, truly believed me to be a magical Disney princess (which just flattered me to no end). The bodice held its shape the entire day and through the reception. No Spanx needed. The bottom swirled and swished beautifully as we danced. If you're looking to feel magical and timelessly elegant, this is the dress for you! *Dress purchased in 12/2016; worn once for wedding in 09/2017. Hardly an alterations were made to this dress. Only the holes for the arms were slightly widened (I have broad shoulders) and the bottom hem was slightly taken up. I stood at 5'11" in my shoes, so without shoes the dress is still quite long. No alterations were needed in the bust, hips, or waist therefore the dress is nearly exactly as it was when I purchased it
