The Dress

The dress is Duchesse Satin with an organza overlay. The bodice is structured with Swarovski Crystals. The waistline is defined by the fitted structure of the dress, which contours closely to the body, accentuating the wearer’s natural waist. It creates a flattering silhouette. The intricate stitching and small decorative elements n the bodice add to the overall elegance of the dress. The skirt is A-Line with sewn in net petticoats which when worn add volume and swing to the skirt falling to a short train. The back is a corset lace up. I have tried to measure this dress as accurately as possible as I no longer fit this dress, the hips aren’t easy to measure with it being A-Line and a full skirt. The dress has a size 12 on the label it but it is more of a size 10 to 12. I am 5 foot 3 inches and wore 4 inch heels on my wedding day.
The dress was professionally cleaned by a firm in London, boxed and has been stored in tissue so it has remained in very good condition. There is some damage to the bottom of the organza overlay on the right hand side which should be easy to rectify and will benefit from being steamed to remove some of the skirts creasing from storage.
